Breaking News!

On November 19, 2002, I became a first time dad!!! My son, Nathaniel Michael Cohen, was born at 11:13 AM (EST) at Overlook Hospital in Summit, NJ. A lot is going to change over the next years, but it's definitely going to be worth it. You can go here for pictures of the little one.

Minutiae

This is just a collection of odd-facts. Feel free to ignore them...

• I'm an avid reader, primarily science fiction and fantasy, but with occasional forays into mystery or military history.

• I do cross-stitch and needlepoint. My grandfather got me into doing needlepoint when I was young and I started it again when I was an adult. I decided, though, that needlepoint was too "paint-by-numbers"-ish and tried cross-stitch. <smiley> It's much more anal-retentive, so it fits well with my personality.</smiley>

• I collect Lego™, primarily the Technic line although I'll admit I don't do much beyond building the primary kit models.

     

• I collect comics and have almost a complete run of Cerebus.

• I used to collect Japanese anime (exclusively the subtitled kind) but basically stopped cold when I got married. My wife is not as enamored of Japanese animation as I am, so it got relegated. This kind of thing happens when you're married.

• Occasionally, I play war-games. I would play more if I knew anyone else who plays. On the other hand, after years of practice, I've gotten very good at being schizophrenic enough to play multiple sides in a multi-player game. Of course, I always win.

• I'm the moderator of the BOC-L Mailing List. A mailing list about the musical groups Blue Oyster Cult and Hawkwind.

• I used to write some poetry in high school and college.

Pictures of a Life

Nothing as exciting as you might hope, but I've got some pictures from my wedding, honeymoon and other miscellany. These are not anywhere near current pictures (most recent is probably about 2.5 years old), but they're indicative. Maybe one of these days, I'll grab some more pictures from the photo albums and start scanning. In any event, pictures are available here.
