Well, the intro to Astronomy started to haunt me so I figured it out.
This is how it goes on SEE. I'll add the notes for those who don't
possess the One True Instrument. You all probably notice when they go
to a different octave so I won't try to type some of them in capitals.

- ----------
Intro line:

  e a g f# e d f# a c# d a g e d c# a f# d e a g e
- --------------------------9--10-----------------------------------------
- -----10----------------10-------10-8------------------------------------
- --9-----12-11-9-----11----------------9--7--6---------------------------
- -----------------12----------------------------7-----------7--5---------
- --------------------------------------------------9--5--7---------------
- -----------------------------------------------------------------0------

The other thing Buck plays between verses is something like (he plays
it in different octaves sometimes, a homework):

  b a g a g f# b a g a g e
- --------------------------------------
- --------------------------------------
- --4-----------------4-----------------
- -----7--5--7--5--4-----7--5--7--5-----
- -----------------------------------7--
- --------------------------------------

And the chords go something like this:

ASTRONOMY
- ---------

    Em D
The clock strikes twelve and moondrops burst
C D Em
Out at you from their hiding place
     Em D
Like acid and oil on a madman's face
    C D Em
His reason tends to fly away

     C Em
Like lesser birds on the four winds
     C Em
Like silver scrapes in May
Em D
Now the sands become a crust
    C D Em
And most of you have gone away

Come Susy dear, let's take a walk
Just out there upon the beach
I know you'll soon be married
And you want to know where the winds come from

Well it's never said at all
On the map that Carrie reads
Behind the clock back there you know
At the four winds bar

Em D C D Em D C D
Hey, hey, hey, hey
Em D
Four winds at the four winds bar
C D
Two doors locked and windows barred
Em D
One door let to take you in
C D
The other one just mirrors it
Hey, hey, hey, hey

In hellish glare and inference
The other one's a duplicate
The queenly flux, eternal light
Or the light that never warms (repeat twice)

The clock strikes twelve and moondrops burst
Out at you from their hiding place
Miss Carrie nurse and Suzy dear
Would find themselves at the four winds bar

It's the nexus of the crisis
The origin of storms
Just the place to hopelessly
Encounter time and then came me
Hey, hey, hey, hey

Call me Desdenova, eternal light
These gravely digs of mine
Will surely prove a sight
And don't forget my dog, fixed and consequent

Astronomy...a star (repeat indefinitely)

- -----------
So there. I'm sure it isn't all wrong, but corrections are more than
welcome. If someone bothers about the solo, go ahead. The first half
didn't seem very difficult. Even I could almost follow it.
